At a Glance: 2007 Nissan Frontier

 The Nissan Frontier pickup, which was completely redesigned for 2005, positions Nissan squarely in the midsize pickup market. The Frontier includes a number of innovative features shared with the Nissan Titan, and for 2007, Frontier Crew Cab adds Nissan�s newest innovation in the truck market, a Long Bed model, with a bed over 13� longer than the traditional Crew Cab.

For 2007, Frontier also receives the addition of a passenger-side seatbelt reminder light, an emissions certificate improvement (except XE)to LEV2 ULEV (from LEV2 LEV), an mp3 player-capable aux-in jack (when CD6 equipped), and King Cab XE adds an Appearance Package, while all SE models add the Value Truck Package. In addition, a new exterior color is available for 2007� Desert Stone.

The 2007 Frontier is offered in both King Cab and Crew Cab body styles and in 2WD and 4WD driveline configurations. The Frontier, like the previous generations, is assembled at Nissan's manufacturing facility in Smyrna, Tennessee.

  • Available in a choice of King Cab or Crew Cab, with Crew Cab SE and LE now offering the Long Bed model, measuring over 13 inches longer      than the Crew Cab�s standard bed

  • Aggressive, rugged Titan-style exterior design with chrome, angled strut grille, chrome bumpers, short front and rear overhangs, large      geometric stamped steel fender flares

  • Available high-utility bed with factory-applied spray-on bedliner and Utili-track bed channel system with adjustable aluminum-alloy tie-down      cleats (rated at 200 lbs each) and available accessory racks, trays, dividers and modular storage systems

  • Available tube-style, functional roof rack on Crew Cab

  • New exterior color � Desert Stone


    • Engine and Driveline
  • 4.0-liter DOHC V6 producing 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque

  • Aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners, forged steel crankshaft, microfinished crankshaft and camshafts, Teflon�-coated pistons,      Nissan variable Induction Control System (NICS), Continuous Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS), silent two-stage timing chain

  • Improved emissions certificate to LEV2 ULEV (from LEV2 LEV)

  • Available 2.5-liter DOHC inline 4-cylinder (King Cab 4x2 only)

  • Available 5-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission

  • 6,500 pounds maximum towing capacity (when properly equipped)

  • Available shift-on-the-fly 4-wheel drive system with 2WD/4H/4LO modes, electronically controlled part-time transfer case

  • Available advanced off-road traction systems and substantially enhanced overall off-road capability, including 4-wheel limited slip, electronic      locking rear differential, Hill Descent Control (HDC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA)

  • Solid axle leaf rear suspension with overslung leaf springs with long suspension stroke for optimized off-road ride and ground clearance

  • Available off-road tuned Bilstein� high-pressure performance gas shocks

  • 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)

  • Standard for NISMO models are 16-inch off-road design aluminum-alloy wheels with 265/75R16 BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/A tires

  • Front seatbelt reminder/warning lights

  • Roomy, modern interior design with flexible seating and cargo utility

  • Both King Cab and Crew Cab feature flip-up rear seats

  • Available Rockford Fosgate-powered audio system with 6-disc in-dash CD autochanger, optional satellite radio and mp3 capability and mp3      player aux-in jack

  • Nissan Advanced Air Bag System (includes dual-stage front supplemental air bags with seat belt sensors and a front passenger      classification sensor), 3-point front seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters

  • Available supplemental front seat side-impact air bags with available supplemental curtain air bags for side impact and rollover protection for      front and rear passengers

  • 3-point seat belts for all rear seat occupants, including center position (Crew Cab)
